Suggest Remedy For Swollen Lump In The Ear

I was stung by some sort of bee this last week while painting a fence. It stung me in the side of the face around the temple. The sting wasn't so bad although it got swollen, and has since gone down some, but I noticed a day or so later a knot or bump in front of my ear on that same side. Is that a swollen lymph node from the bee sting?

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

Yes, the bump like thing is a lymph node. This is an indicator of an ongoing infection or inflammation in the surrounding area. Do not worry! This will usually resolve on its own. If it increases in size or becomes painful, then you may require antibiotics for the treatment of the same.

Hope this answers your query.
