Suggest Remedy For Swelling In The Foot

Hello, My father is 94yrs. old and is in good health. He was taking Amlodipine Besylate 10 mg daily. We notified the doc that his left foot was swelling. Was instructed to take half a tablet. However, the swelling continued. We took him for a doc visit and the doc took him off the medication. The doc checked vitals and all was good. We decreased his sodium intake. He elevate his feet on a regular basis and uses ice packs. Is there anything else we could do. Dad has a doc appt. on July 9 Thank you

See Amlodipine can cause swelling of foot but it will never be only on one particular side , it causes swelling on both feet . So I feel there must be something else that is causing his left foot swelling .

Most common cause for Unilateral swelling of foot is due to abnormal blood circulation in that leg . I advise you to get Venous Doppler scan of left leg and revert back .
