Suggest Remedy For Stone In Ureter

I have done US Scan today and was informed that I have a mild hydronephrosis on left kidney and in US Scan they were not able to detect any stone. However, when a X-ray KUB was done we found a tiny stone in the urater (near urinary bladder). I already got severe pain twice due to kidney stones and now my hospital is saying that I might have to go for a lazer uteroscopy to remove the stone. Shall I wait for a week to see if the stone comes out by taking much water or do i need to do the ureroscopy immediately?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
As you got stone in ureter there might be having back pressure causing hydronephrosis of kidney.
If size of stone is big then you might require lithotrypsy procedure.
Many a time forceful diuresis with IV infusion will help to expel stone out.
Your treating doctor is best judge to decide about your problem.
Mean while take plenty of water.
Ok and take care.
