Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat

Hey Doctor! for the past week I have seemed to have a phemmy cough/sore throat in the mornings since being vacation. Naturally, I assume it is a sore throat. Today the throat pain has eased up, but now there is a part of my soft palate in my mouth that hurts when touched or when eating (I naturally assume it is the throat infection travelling or finding its last place to annoy me before clearing up!) I was wonering should I be worried? Thanks!

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question. This could be secondary to upper respiratory tract infection.
Nothing to worry you will be fine.
i recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics preferably amoxicillin with clavulunic acid
2) Analgesics to relieve pain.
3) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to a glass of warm water and gargle.

Hope i have answered your question. If you have got any further questions i am happy to help you.
Wish you a good health.
Regards,
Dr Paparaja S MBBS, MS
