Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat

I am taking Duromine 30mg. I started with a sore throat on the forth day of taking this pill and still have a bad throat plus voice lost which has not got any better after a week even though I am taking doxycycline 100mg for this. Do you think Duromine is causing this and should I stop taking it for a few days

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Duromine contains Phenteramine which is an Appetite suppresant medicine.It is not to be taken for a longer time then prescribed as it may cause side-effect like Fast heart beat,constipation,dry mouth,etc.

Looking to your symptoms,you are suffering from inflammation in the throat(Pharyngitis) and In the Voice-box-Larynx(Laryngitis)this is not due to taking Duromine..

You may find relief by taking following medicines:
Analgesic with Anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid like Rantac,
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine.

Also take voice rest.Speak only if it is absolutely necessary.Dont shout or whisper.Do warm saline gargles.Do steam inhalation.Avoid cold food and dust.Drink lots of warm fluids.

If your symptoms are not improved after taking above measures in around 2-3 days,then it would be advisable to consult an otolaryngologist Doctor.
