Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat

I am a 50 yr old woman and have had sore throat pain since tues. I went to my Dr. and was told I have pharyngitis and was prescribed and antibiotic. I have taken three doses and still have had no relief. How long does it take for the medication to start working. and is there anything I can do for the pain?

Hi,mainly due to pharyngities their is throat pain,only antibiotic won't help,take analgesic and antihistamic,with it,like levocitrizine,
Mainly do warm saline gargle it helps relieving congestion,and don't drink cold drinks cold water,I hope this will help you
