Suggest Remedy For Sinus Infection While Being Due To Have Septoplasty

Hi I think I have an acute sinus infection and my head hurts badly, and this is the usual feeling I have when I have this infection .Nothing will come down when I blow my nose and I usually end up on a high dose of Klacid antibiotic. I have a deviated septum, and a polyp in my left nostril and have been recommended to have a septoplasty. However I have not access to a doctor until tomorrow ..what can I do in the meantime to relieve the symptoms?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
I recommend the following.
1) Analgesics like tablet diclofinac for pain relief.
2) Oxymetazoline nasal drops for nasal block.
3) Steam inhalation to improve sinus ventilation and drainage.
This could give you symptomatic relief.
Wish you a good luck and speedy recovery.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any questions, I am happy to help.

Regards,
Dr Paparaja S MBBS MS
