Suggest Remedy For Shift Work Sleep Disorder

I HAVE PREVIOUSLY HAD A SLEEP STUDY, THE SLEEP CENTER DETERMINED I DO NOT HAVE SLEEP APNEA HOWEVER AM NOT SLEEPING SOUNDLY OR UNINTERRUPTED DUE TO HIGH STRESS LEVELS. SINCE THAT TIME I LOST MY JOB AND HAVE HAD TO TAKE A POSITION WORKING 6PM TO 2 AM AND THE CONITION HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVLY WORSE. I AM CONSTANTLY TIRED AND IT IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE FOR TME TO SLEEP DURING THE DAY. MY PHYSICIAN RECOMMENDED WHEN MY INSURANCE GOES INTO AFFECT IN JUNE, SEEING A PHYSCOLOGIST. WOULD THIS BE OUR RECOMMENDATION OR SHOULD I SEE THE SLEEP SPECIALIST ? SOMEONE MENTIONED SHIFT WORK DISORDER EVEN THOUGH THIS PROBLEM EXSISTED WELL BEFORE, IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE WITH THE SHIFT WORK.

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In your case, sleep disturbance could be due to stress. Better to use some relaxation exercise and consult a psychologist. That would help you to control stress. You can also try some benzodiazepine on sos for sleep and antidepressant to control anxiety symptoms. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
