Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In The Muscles

11 years ago I had plates and screws put in my left ulna and radius to repair a very serious break, I have never had much problem out of it but here this last week I have been having really sharp stinging pains and muscle failure through the ulna side and every now and then I am unable to grasp anything. It hurt through out the day but I am able to continue daily routines but at night when I m asleep it will wake me up as if someone had just hit me in the arm with a bat. If I try to rub it or apply any pressure to the area it immediately makes my arm go numb from the elbow to my ring finger. If anyone has any idea of what this may be or how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

There can be two possibilities, that can cause such pain. First is that your plate and screws are compressing on nerves and that is causing nerve irritation leading to pain and weakness.
other cause can be stretching of nerve in the elbow, which is causing tingling and numbness. It is called as subluxating ulnar nerve .
To confirm the diagnosis,I would suggest you to get x ray of the forearm and EMG test for nerves.
If there is any problem with the implant since already your bone is united so you can easily get these plate and screws removed.
if there is problem with nerve you will need a small procedure to take care of the nerve.
Tablet Pregabalin and Methylcobal will help in this type of pain.
