Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain And Soreness In Left Hip

I fell down the stairs on my buttox over a month ago. The bruising and pain was concentrated on the left side. The bruising has since cleared, but I have terrible hip/ left Buttox pain than appears to be radiating down my left hip/ thigh. I have difficulty sitting and laying on that side. Is this normal? Should I see a physician?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

It seems that you had a severe injury from falling down the stairs on your bottom. The pain you feel radiating to left hip is due to trauma of end-part of spinal cord.

As the pain is persisting for 1 month, I advise to consult with orthopedist and to run lower back X-ray to evaluate the damages to that part of the spinal cord.

Please apply analgesic cream together with taking oral analgesics.

All the best!
