Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 70 year old male who stays very active hunting, fishing and I was a lineman for 40 years. Recently my legs strength have deteriorated. I have been having intense leg cramps for the past 6 months. I am now having a problem going up and down steps. Climbing a ladder is almost impossible. I drink plenty of fluids. I do not drink alcohol nor do I smoke. I have type II diebetis, but not on insulin.
Hi, It seems that there might be having pinched nerve pressure symptoms and having osteo-artheritis of lower lumbo-sacral spines and of knee joints. There might be having possibility of having Neuritis as you are having diabetes as well. Go for x-ray lumbar spines and knee joints. Take Vitamin B1, B6 and B12. Take calcium and Vitamin D supplements as well. Ok and take care.
