Suggest Remedy For Severe Hyperpigmentation And Uneven Skin

Hi I have always suffered from severe hyperpigmentation and uneven skin ny whole life. I have tried using creams like Hydroquionne but it has never fixed my face I still have melasma and very dark parts if my face and body. I have recently been researching about skin melanin reduction surgery and I was wondering how much it would cost to reduce my skin by 4 shades for my whole body and where I can get it done. I am African and was wondering if the lasers can be used on dark skin. I live in Canada and would he willing to travel to get it done.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe hyperpigmentation and uneven skin which seems to be due to sensitivity of your skin to ultraviolet rays of sun. Melanocytes of skin start producing more pigment production and leads to brownish pigmentation of skin. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash your face and body with mild soap twice a day and apply kojivit cream , exfoliate your skin twice a week and apply vitamin E oil at night before going to bed . Also protect your skin from excess sun exposure as it can worsen the condition. You should apply sunscreen rich in SPF 26 such as Tan care. If condition doesn't get improved in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper examination . Doctor may recommend chemical peeling or dermabrasion depending upon the severity of condition .
