Hi John..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern....
As per your complain in case if you have Recurring
Gingivitis there is a great possibility that you have
plaque and
tartar deposits on teeth and as they are not cleaned properly by brushing they gets calcified forming hard deposits over teeth as well as over tooth under the gums [subgingival area] known as Calculus..
These deposits act as an active source of infection and the bacteria present over then releases acids which causes inflammation over the gums causing pain, swelling and bleeding..
Using mouthwashes and brushing does not remove these deposits and you may get temporary relief but the infection recurs..
For proper relief you should
consult a Dentist and get evaluated and in case if there are infectious deposits the dentist can very well clean then by SCALING and ROOT PLANING followed by antibiotics [
amoxicillin and metronidazole],painkillers and antimicrobial
ointments and mouthwashes..
Once the deposits are cleaned then you can maintain healthy gums by proper burshing, flossing, warm saline gargles and mouthwashes..
You can also ask your dentist to demonstrate you with proper brushing technique..
Hope this information helps..
