Suggest Remedy For Recurring Cough And Low Grade Fever
Hi Dr. Rynne. Sure hope you can help. Felt blown off by my m.d. today. I have been having a reoccuring cough. it stems from me randomly inhaling my saliva instead of swallowing. It is happening more and more. Right now I have a cough, it feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest and a low grade fever. I slept half the day as well from being tired. I have also seen a difference in how I walk with my rt. ft. i have chest pains as well and had had really bad headaches lately. never had them much my whole life. would be so grateful for good advice.
Hello You didn't mention the duration of these symptoms? The first possibility is of bronchoconstriction and this produces COUGH as well as post nasal discharge ( saliva as you mentioned in the query). Heaviness in the chest is due to bronchoconstriction . So in my opinion please consult a primary care physician and get his opinion . 2nd possibility of such symptoms may be due to some sort of infection ( which produces all these symptoms). So get in an X ray chest and consult near by physician.
