Hello and welcome to HCM,
Presence of kidney stones in an individual makes him / her prone to develop kidney stones in future.
This is due to presence of nidus for kidney stone which perpetuates future formation of stones.
In order to prevent development of stones in future certain firm steps are required.
Firstly, it is important to determine the nature of stones.
This can be done by stone analysis.
Stones analysis reveals the nature of stones and accordingly certain food stuffs are to be avoided.
Eg for calcium stones, calcium rich vegetables and fruits need to be avoided.
For phosphate stones, phosphate rich foods, vegetables and fruits have to be avoided etc.
Drinking plenty of water is recommended.
Cranberry juice and other citrus friut juice is also known to help dissolve the stones.
Very small sized stones i.e.
Kidney stones are not associated with thyroid dysfunction, hypothyroidism or thyroxine medication.
The co-existence is purely co-incidental.
I suggest you to consult your urologist regarding stones, analysis, recommended dietary habits after stone analysis and best management for other remaining stones.

Thanks and take care
