Suggest Remedy For Rashes On Palm With Extreme Skin Dryness

Hello Doctor, I ve had rash like symptoms on my palms for a few weeks now. They look like small pimples and when they fade they leave dark red marks under the skin for about a day. The skin gets very dry and sometime peels. It will go away for a few days, only to return. What could this be?

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description is pompholyx which is a form of allergy. Emolients containing liquid paraffin can be applied over the affected area. Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied twice daily over the affected area. You must avoid the use of detergents. Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards.
