Suggest Remedy For Radiating Pain From Hip Down To Calf

I have a throbbing pain just above my right hip. When I stand up or roll over while lying down I get a sharp pain through my right hip down to my calf. It never goes away, but the pain lessens as I continue to move around. It has been this way for 2 weeks now. What should I do?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to lumbar radiculopathy. That is nerve compression from lumbar intervertebral disc herniation or injury. A physical examination by orthopedician will be helpful to rule out the condition. X ray followed by MRI of lumbosacral spine might be required to confirm it also. For such condition if you were my patient then i would recommend NSAIDs like Aceclofenac , muscle relaxants like Tizanidine and neurotropic drugs like Pregabalin and Methylcobalamin. I also advise a consultation with physiotherapist for physiotherapy TENS. Wearing lumbar supporting belts and using hard mattress will be helpful also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
