PCOD is a disorder which in known to cause hormonal imbalance leading to irregular menstrual periods, making it difficult to conceive. So the prime treatment for it would be to regularize your periods, which can be done by taking birth control pills containing both Progesterone and Estrogen hormones. Once this is achieved, you can take ovulation induction tablets containing Clomifen citrate. Metformin also helps in ovulation process. Some doctors also advise to take Spironolactine tablet. Also, it is known that reduction in weight by diet and exercise improves the chances of conception in people having PCOD. Kindly consult Gynecologist for advise regarding proper regimen of the above medications, so that it will help you to improve your condition and chances of conceiving.
