hi my girlfriend is 16 years old, and about 2 weeks ago after a basketball game, she come out of the locker room crying and she said it felt like somebody sitting on her chest. She had troubles with this when she was little, and the doctors diagnosed her with svt and then put her on medicine, but it has now come back. What would be the best thing for her to do?

I can understand your concern.
SVT (supra ventricular tachycardia) is recurrent.
In young patients, Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) is the treatment of choice. It is safe and permanent cure for SVT.
So consult cardiologist and get done Electrophysiology study (EP study) of heart to identify the abnormal impulse pathway.
Once abnormal pathway is identified, cardiologist will ablate that pathway.
So no recurrence is seen.
