Hi Doctor sahab,
I understand your concern.
* PCOS is a condition characterized by lac of ovulation/ irregular periods. the obese & thin PCOS patients have variation in their insulin resistance/excessive blood insulin ,low estrogen & high testesteron values. Obesity/ excessive facial hairs/thinness of patients depend on these variations.
Some how thin PCOS patients have to be careful for cardiovascular involvement in future.
* It is observed that if treated methodically, PCOS patients do conceive.
Treatment given should be choosen by treating gynecologist. It can be-
1) healthy food, physical activity are used for those who are not eager for pregnancy.
2) Metformin( to remove insulin resistance) & Clomiphene( Ovulation stimulater) are used in combination to reduce ovarian size /improve ovulatory function.
3) ovarian drilling surgery is needed in some patients.
Consult a gynecologist get full guidance through out the treatment span . The drug regiemes/ doses are decided by time to time by follow up scans/examinations.
The overall result of the treatment is positive. You need not worry. Please go ahead with positive attitude.
Thanks.
