Suggest Remedy For Pneumonia

I have pneumonia (I don't know what kind.) Was prescribed antibiotics and nasal spray today. I am 62 year old female. Should I apply any heat to my chest or lower back? This is the first time for me and I desperately need to do whatever it takes to get over this. I have been away from my home since Sept. 2014 and had planned to return home to Kingston this weekend when I got sick this week. I am too sick to travel right now. Is there anything that you could tell me?Thank You

Hello dear patient!
Thank you for choosing HCM for sharing your concerns!
I understand your concerns.

If you have been diagnosed with pneumonia i think you should use antibiotics with injections since this diagnose is a kind of severe and injections are more effective than orally antibiotics.

I would recommend you ceftriaxone for at least 7 days to treat pneumonia.
Meanwhile you may continue other drugs that your doctor has prescribed (except orally antibiotics). If you have severe cough you can use Bromhexine for the excessive mucus. Vitamins would help you to recover faster.

I hope you will be better as soon as possible.
I wish you a good health!
DR ERIOLI.
