Hi. I feel like I have a vitamin pill stuck in my throat and I have tried, warm water, coughing, oil, bread and nothing is helping. Can you recommend anything and at what stage would this become something I would need to seek medical advice? Thank you.
Hello, Vitamin capsules are bit sticky because of the outer cover. Anyway for you its very easy if you feel something sticking in the throat take effervescent drinks ie drinks with soda like coca cola, pepsi ,mirinda etc. Normally the capsule moves down and does not cause any problem . You might continue to have a abnormal feeling for few hours. Take soda drinks and if you are relieved then do not worry , if not get an ENT consultation then examination can be done and ulcer healing syrups could be prescribed for faster healing, as tablets if sticks some where causes superficial ulcers. In doubt do reply
