Suggest Remedy For Persistent Constipation And Difficulty In Breathing

Hello, over the last couple of days I had constipation, during which time I was also suffering with shallow breathing (shortness of breath) and a stabbing pain in my right side (more inward then outter pain). The constipation is now cleared up and the pain is slowly subsiding but the shortness of breath is still an issue. Some times it feels as if there is smog in the air but we are in an area with no smog. Thank you

You might be having GERD and constipation.
I will suggest few measures that might be beneficial.
I would have prescribed Antacids like Digene or Gelusil syp, 2tsp in 50ml of water three to four times a day half an hour before food. You can also take capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily empty stomach, before breakfast for a week. Soft diet is good, but avoid spicy food, alcohol, carbonated drink, smoking if you do. Add more fibres to your diet, more vegetables, fresh fruits, restrict the intake of meat. Regular exercise. Avoid lying down after meals, walk for 10 to 15 minutes after food. Eat frequent small meals instead of heavy meals. Do not starve. Stool softeners like cremaffin syrup 5 to 10 ml taken at bedtime will be beneficial. Probiotics like sporolac or ecobion will be beneficial.
