Suggest Remedy For Persistent Chest Pain With Intense Muscle Spasms

I have chest tighness, when I burp, it gets worse. The pain is in the middle of my chest and it is only pressure, not intense. I am not hungry and have to eat whether I want to or not. I recently completed treatment for what was diagnosed as Chron s with Remicade, but this pain just started recently. My dr ordered gallbladder ultrasound, chest x-ray and did an ekg (it was ok). THe pain is worse when I stand and lessens slightly when I am laying down. Could I have developed an ulcer?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is more in your case. This can be due to gastric ulcer also.
It is mostly due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause the symptoms of Central chest pain, burping etc.
So avoid stress and tension.
Avoid hot and spicy food.
Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. Avoid junk food.
Take proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic drugs.
Keep 2 - 3 pillows under head in the bed to prevent reflux. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks
