Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My bottom left gum hurts whenever I close my mouth, eat on that side, or apply pressure to it. For a temporary pain reliever, I have to press down on it hard. Part of a tooth is showing now and this has been going on for a few days. What is going on? I am 12 years old
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the pain and soreness in gum on applying pressure and eating on that side along with the symptoms of erupting tooth is nothing to be worried as the pain in gum is due to erupting tooth and as the tooth must have been broken through the bone and it was just below the soft layer of gums any pressure over it must have caused injury to it leading to pain.. As now the tooth has broken out from the gums slowly the pain will subside and in case if there is some pain even now you can apply a numbing gel like Lignocaine gel over the gums.. You can also take a painkiller like Ibugesic kid for relief.. Do warm saline gargles.. You need not to worry as there is nothing serious..
Hope this information helps..
