Suggest Remedy For Pain In The Back And Numbness In Hands And Arms

HI, I have had 5 major back surgeries in a matter of 1 year in 1/2.. 2 Laminectomies which caused to me to develop a mersa infection in my spine , possible sign of blood clot where they had to open me up but found nothing and the finalk was a fusion of l5-si from bulging and collapsed disc. I was bed ridden for months in and out of rehabilitation centers. My question is that I am 50 year old women, dr s say that I have 3 small buldging disc in my Thorasic area now, I have very bad burning like stinging pain in the middle of my back. My hands and arms go numb, I have been diagnosed with degenertive disc disease. I feel like I am falling apart. It has gotten to the point that pain meds do not even help all the time. I am deathly afraid to discuss these problems with my doctors when I go in every month for pain meds cause I dont want more injections, now they are talking about burning the nerves. I am just a a place where I am afraid and dont believe anyone and I am afdraid that I won t walk or be in surgery or rehab..just so many things. . Sincerely Las Vegas

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Don't worry. If any patient has to multiple surgeries then it is natural that he will be stress and same is with you. But you are brave as you are now out of bed after five major surgeries.
Now since you are suffering from degenerative disc disease at multiple levels Ther is no need of surgery. Instead you should visit pain specialist and he or she will block your nerves which is minor procedure and with negligible side effects.
