Suggest Remedy For Pain In Knee After Injury

Hi. I fell on my knee a week ago on concrete floor. It hurt, but I could walk. It hurt to bend my knee though. The next day I went to get up, and banged my knee on a table leg. It was swollen even more. It had a lot of splotchy bruising under the skin. It felt like fluid build up. Squishy and creaky. Its been a week and its still very painful to bend. I can t put any pressure on it. Any ideas?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
you have aggravated your first injury with banging it to table leg, surely there is collection of fluid (synovial fluid) or blood in it. if blood is there, it should be aspirated and use of knee cap for three weeks is a must. if synovial fluid is there, needs aspiration intra articular Inj. kenacort 40 mg with kneecap for three weeks 24x7. a course of antibiotics with NSAID's like tab. pirox DT twice daily for a week is advisable.
