hello sir,i have pain in hair roots when i comb and whenever i wash my head. with touch of water hair roots becomes very hard n it pains alot.. i usually wash my head twice a weak.. and head skin itching is very normal... even after proper oiling...please give me advise.. how to get rid of this itching n pain!!thks
Hi. As per your case history you are having folliculitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching and NSAID like ibuprofen for pain. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
