Suggest Remedy For Pain Caused By Persistent Rectal Bleeding
I ve been having bleeding with most bowel movements for about 2yrs now. I m having pain way up in my rectum and it s worse about 30 mins after movement & lasts for hours. When trying to go it feels like the faeces can t get past a certain point & I have to strain to get it moved, sometimes to the point of almost fainting. I ve lost my appetite and 3st weight in 8wks. There are loads of other symptoms too. My regular blood tests come back continually increasing inflammation. There is bowel cancer and crohns on both sides of the family. I m type2 diabetic & have degenerative disc disease. Your advice would be much appreciated.
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.
I can understand your concerns. I will suggest you to visit a Gastroenterologist who will advise you to undergo colonoscopy in which whole of the large intestine can be examined along with some part of distal small intestine. Since you have family history positive for colon cancer and crohns disease along with bleeding per rectum.
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you . Wish you a good health
