Hello,
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
jaundice is not a disease itself but it is a symptom of a disease process that has involved liver.
Muscle weakness is an ominous sign and it is an indication that he must be examined by a local physician and should be investigatedsuitably to decide the definite diagnosis so that exact treatment can be started.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

helo n welcome. firstly he needs to have a jaundice workup to find the cause ie hepatitis serology n ultrasound to determine whether its hepatocellular or obstructive jaundice. remedy for weakness would include plenty of fluids avoid unnecessary drugs n alcohol esp. n acetaminophen on demand. hb n retic count be done to rule out anemia n hemolysis. no other remedies should be used as the live is already compromised n multivitamins etc may further complicate the situation. thanx

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, your husband is suffering from jaundice, since 2 months, and still it is at billirubin, of 2.
There are many causes for jaundice, may be due to the viral infection, secondary to the typhoid, or malaria, obstruction to biliary duct, alcohol, or drugs.
The treatment depends upon the cause, so i advise you to consult a gastroenterologist, for diagnosis.
Depending upon the cause the doctor suggest the treatment, and modification of the diet.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
