Hello doctor Actually my platelets coubt is currently only 4000... I have cold and flu... 2 weeks back I had taken antibiotics for my tooth pain as prescribed by the doctor.I had itp last year same time... I was given immunosuppressive drug .. ritoximab and dexa Can you please advise what should I do now to get rid of this disease completely Thank you

Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. ITP is an autoimmune disorder. If its chronic, it will be present for longer time. 2. If its acute presentation, it might go into remission on its own. 3. 4000 or 40000, i am not sure. If its 4000, you will require immediate platelet transfusions to avoid risk of internal bleeds. 4.
