Suggest Remedy For Itchy Legs And Black Spots
Dear Doc, I am having itching on the legs which recently are showing as black spots and is very irritating. Also the last two toes of both the feet are retaining wetness, have severe itching and redness. Have been using antimicrobial creams. skin peeled of.Seems to reduce a bit but no complete cure yet. I I also have cracks on the feet for which I use foot file. I am not a diabetic and I dont have any other complications. Also has dandruff.

I have taken your details into consideration. To me it appears that you are having inter digital candidiasis of feet and Seborrhic Dermatitis of scalp
For black spots, you can use Crotamiton containing cream which are good anti-itching agents for such conditions
For my patients, i use the following measures:
1 For candidiasis , i prefer Fluconazole as single dose and also prescribe Miconazole preparations. These work invariable to the the satisfaction of the patient.
I try to assess their diabetic status and advise them to wear well ventilating footwear as the infection affects more when you are a diabetic or are using closed type of shoes. for cracked skin , one may use a salicylic acid preparation locally and usually this helps.
2 For Seb dermatitis, the best way is to use a shampoo containing ZPTO and Ketoconazole twice to thrice a week along with steroids for topical use if required but only in some cases
