I've had itching in my left eyebrow for more than 10 years. Last spring the itching turned into an eruption my my eyelid beneath the brow. I had it cultered and it turned out to be shingles. Is there a topical cream I can use to combat this without having to take something internally with each outbreak. Is a low maintenance dose of an antiviral a good idea. I feel that even though I've had two outbreaks and cleared them up with an antiviral the shingles are just a scratch away from erupting again. PLus I'm scared to death that they'll travel to my cornea.
