Hello,

I understand your concern for for irritation and redness after using hair removal cream. It appears from your query that you have developed contact irritant dermatitis after the application of the hair removing cream.

It appears that you hair removing cream has caused irritation due to higher application or due to application higher than recommended time or due to sensitivity of its product.

I suggest you to do cold compression at the affected area. I most importantly suggest you to not expose yourself to direct sunlight and external environment as it can cause more aggravation of the problem.

Also I suggest you not to apply any cosmetics or go for beauty procedures on face. In your kind of cases I suggest my patients to apply a mild steroid lotion such as fluticasone for 3-4 days of period. If I were your treating doctor then would have prescribed you calamine lotion to be applied for 3-4 times daily and should be applied at night time.

For itching I prefer to give an antihistamine such as cetrizine or levocetrizine or loratadine for two times a day for few days. The most important part is avoidance of sun exposure. The dead skin will peel of so do not try to pick the skin.

All the best.
