Suggest Remedy For Irregular Bowels

Dear Doctor, I am training to become a nutritionist and so this may seem strange that I have this problem! I am 45 and 5'6 and 9 stone 7oz. I do not have regular bowel movements, say every 3 or 4 days. I eat fruit, veg and drink lots of water take probiotics and aloe vera, etc. Do you think I should have a colonoscopy?
