What is the best way to reduce insulin resistant abdominal fat. Is exercise and diet alone help? Will going on a raw vegetable diet cleanse the liver and help reduce wt? Does bitter melon reduce blood sugar and reduce wt.
Not on Insulin yet. Thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question.
The raw vegetable diet may be helpful because it is a low carbohydrate diet. However it is not necessary to go that far if you do not want to. The best way to lose abdominal fat is to exercise regularly and be on a very low carbohydrate diet. I suggest that you try limiting carbohydrates to 30-40 grams per meal and completely avoid all processed foods, sweets and sodas. Bitter melon has not been proven to cause lowered sugars and weight loss.
