my son has a history of phneomonia and he has been running a fever for a few days now. he has no symptoms but he complains of a hurting around his breast bone area where your ribcage joins. his fever hasnt been that high in the 99 to 100.8 range and now its gotten higher into the 102.8 range.
Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern. You seem to be suffering from Lower Respiratory tract infection. You should get following investigations done: 1. Chest Xray PA 2. Hemogram with ESR 3. Sputum for gram stain.
Till the reports are available discuss with your doctor to start you on broad spectrum antibiotic like Augmentin. You can take cough syrup like Benadryl for symptomatic relief.
