Suggest Remedy For Heavy Coughing And Difficulty In Breathing

DIAGNOSED WITH BRONCHITIS ON MONDAY AFTER 2 DAYS OF HEAVY COUGHING. NO HEADACHE, NO SORE THROAT, NO STOMACH ACHE, OR ANYTHING ELSE. HEAVY MUCOUS FROM LUNGS. LONG BOUTS OF COUGHING. PRESCRIBED AZITHROMYCIN (2 RIGHT AWAY - 1 A DAY 4 FOLLOWING DAYS) AND ALBUTEROL WITH INHALER. DOING WELL UNTIL LAST NIGHT. 6 HOURS OF HEAVY COUGHING - 10:00 PM TO 4:00 AM. NOW, 3:00 PM, AS LONG AS I SIT, NOT BAD. GET UP TO USE RESTROOM, LIKE RUNNING A MILE. HEAVY BREATHING FOR 5 MINUTES ONCE SITTING AGAIN. AND NOW A BIT OF A RASH ON MY UPPER CHEST.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted your history and concerns. he productive coughing still continuing in spite the best of treatment.
The rash could be due to the infection, the virus or the medicines and need to be seen by a Doctor to decide the cause and get the proper attention.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
- Get the phlegm tested for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
- X-ray of the chest to see for pneumonia.
-tests of blood to see for evidence of infection.

These will give guideline for further tests and treatment.
Also take steam inhalation.
