Suggest Remedy For Headache In Toddlers

My 3 year old son came home with severe head pain. So bad that he couldn't get off the ground and was screaming. He vomited and then started in with the fever. This lasted 2 days but the headache didn't return. Today he seemed back to normal but he complained about a headache for several hours this afternoon- not screaming this time but whining about it. He has also been complaining about leg pain and hasn't really had an appetite. I am paranoid about the headaches. Should I be concerned? Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there,
Headaches in young children are a bit of a concern. Plus with the additional symptoms that you described of a fever and vomiting it is good if you take him to a doctor. He will have normal periods in between but I as your consultant would be more at ease If he has a blood and csf examination done and also an ophthalmoscopy. I would like to rule out any infections and also any cases where he has an elevated csf pressure.

Hope this helps,
Kindly take him to a doctor at the earliest,
Please feel free to address any further questions to me, I will be glad to help you,
I find this answer helpful
