Suggest Remedy For Hard Lump In The Center Of Chest

For at least a year I've been occationally getting a hard lump in the center of my chest, just under where my ribcage connects (sternum I guess? But very close to connection of my ribs). It doesn't hurt if I put some pressure on the lump, but sometimes the lump gives me increadible pain. Sharp reoccuring intense stabbing pains that give me a shock about once every minute or two. Strangely though, even when it gives me these painful shocks, it still doesn't hurt if I press down on it with reasonable force. I think it probably has something to due with my heartburn (I get that pretty bad to the point I'm almost sure I've got acid reflux). Sometimes I can just take a lot of antacids and the pain subsides (albeit not very quickly at all), but I'm worried that maybe this lump is something that's not supposed to be there. It's a fairly prominent lump -- if I suck in my stomach as far as I can then I can kind of see the outline of it (and I'm 6'' 190lbs, kinda fat in my midsection). It seems symetrical and oval shapped with the longer axis running vertically with diameter about 1 inch. It's smaller axis runs horizontally with diameter about a half of an inch. There's no specific trigger to it, but I find that some foods can cause the pain to get worse (salty foods it seems). I know that you'll probably just say "Go to a Doctor, lumps can be serious", but I guess what I'm wondering is if other people have heard of having lumps there, or could this be what an ulcer feels like?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM virtual Clinic.
I studied your query in all the details put forth by you.
I understood your health concerns about the chest lump.

Cause of the health problems you queried-
After reviewing the details of your query,In my opinion the lump seems to be Costo-Chondritis which is simultaneously associated with GERD,which you have(Gastro-Esophagel Reflux Disease) and labelled it as Acid refulx.
Thus the overlap of the reflux acidity with chest pain, has confused you about this twin health problem with you.
Remedy -
If I would have been attending there,I would advise
-Tab Proton Pump Inhibitors(like Proton-D) once a day at 6 pm.
-Reduce on spicy / fried diet
-Voltaren Gel locally x as the lump is not painful on pressure, and would take care of the Costo-Chondritis locally.
-Hot formentation locally,
-Infrared Heat with your doctor

As I don't have any direct photo of the lump / or not many details from you, I would advise you to consult surgeon/or Ortho Surgeon.
Hence I would advise you to consult ER Ortho-Surgeon,who would differentiate from other possible causes for the lump in that area.

Hope this would resolve your query with full satisfaction.
Welcome for any further query in this regard to ME by direct question at HCM.

Write excellent review and hit thanks, to narrate your experience ,which would improve my rating for many other visitor's to HCM.
Wishing you fast recovery.
Have a good day.
