Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of feeling of reeling of head while awakening from bed, blood pressure was 140/90 few months back, was alcoholic 5 years ago and now totally non-alcoholic, takes alprazolam 0.25 every night. From the short history that you have provided This looks to be due to mild hypertension along with postural hypotension that you may be having on getting up in the morning accentuated by Alprazolam that you take in the night. I would advise you the following: To consult your Doctor to get a regular holter study to know the variations in blood pressure. Also to have neurological evaluation and reference to an ENT and Neurologist for specialist opinion and further investigations as needed and advised to get the correct diagnosis and proper management.
