Suggest Remedy For Frequent Fevers

My four year old has had a sore throat and fever 102 on and off since he started school in September. This is the third time. This time he has a dry cough. No phlegm or nose/sinus symptoms. He had a strep test the first time,it came up negative. Since he started school last year Prek3, he was sick every month with something, always with a fever. What can be done, should I take him to a specialist? Is this normal?

Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic forum.
Recurring throat infection is more common in children than adults. Avoiding cold drinks/items and frequent warm saline gargles started early at the onset can offer some help.If these precautions and antibiotic treatment fails to control frequent recurrences, we may need adenoidectomy / tonsillectomy. Your doctor will discuss this with you.
Hope you will find this answer useful. Thank you.
