I have a history of severe constipation and gas. I resolved it in part with gas x and stool softeners and increased fiber diet of high fiber bread, vegetables, fruits, prune juice 8 oz day, water, banana (potassium for heart issues). I now have regular bowel movements for 2 or 3 days then cramps, bloating and diarrhea. After which I feel better again for awhile. Seems to be a cycle.
