Suggest Remedy For Frequent Bowel Movement And Gas Post Ileocecal Valve Removal

Had ileocecal valve removal because of a twisted colon. I am taking cholestyramine to help with the diarrhea. I am still having frequent bowel movements and a lot of gas. causing discomfort. I was told to avoid dairy products, artificial sugars and a lot of salads which I have. Are there other foods that may be causing me to have all this gas and discomfort? Is this how it is going to be forever? I am wondering if I should see a gastroenterologist or maybe a dietitian.
