if you have the flu ho long can it stay, as far as aches pains and fever? what if it started with strep throat with just sore throat and very bad headache and was given amoxicillin for 7 days. 4 days in felt worse and lo grade fever so I was given steroids to help with the inflammation in my head. The headache subsided after a day and I started feeling better for a day. then that evening sneezing and total congestion came on as well as the feverish sypmtons (aches and pain) advil helped until it wore off. My doctor said It may be I got the flu right after the strep thoat, now I took my last amoxicillin yesterday and I have 2 more days of the steroid pack to go. I still feel achy and very congested. should I be doing any more? my doctor says to give it a couple of days.
