My 6 year old son has now had a fever for 5 nights. It hasn't been hire than 101.4. He is fine in the morning but gets sleepy in tje afternoon and fever returns. No other aches but has a little cough. He sweated alot 2 nights ago and we gave him Motrin once per night for the first 3 nights. Any ideas what it could be? It is Saturday night so we can't go to doctor tomorrow. Thanks!
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it appears to be the viral fever, urinary tract infection, or some other infection. I advise you to consult a pediatrician for diagnosis and treatment . He may need to have some tests of blood and urine are to be done. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms, ofloxacin, paracetamol. till the diagnosis is established. Give him easily digestible foods like bread, milk, and fruits. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
