Suggest Remedy For Eye Swelling After Hair Transplant

I got a hair transplant. They used lidocaine as the local anesthic. Procedure went fine. 48 hours later my upper face swelled up so bad my eyes swelled shut. Tried benedryl. No help. Cold compress provides relief but swelling returns as soon as it is removed. What can I do to reduce eye swelling?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi, swelling of the forehead , eyebrows eyelids and bridge of the nose is quet common after hair transplant. It will disappear within 1 week by itself. Meanwhile you can use cold compresses, keep your head elevated while sleeping, use a head band. If it doesn't improve then you should see an ophthalmologist. hope this will reduce your worries.
