Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain excess saliva secretion also known as
Hypersalivation can occur due to a number of causes that causes increased saliva production like excess starch consumption, oral and throat infections, oral ulcers,
acid reflux, side effect of medicines like
Pilocarpine, ketamine, liver diseases, toxin exposure like mercury, arsenic etc.
It can also be due to reduced swallowing like in cases of throat and tonsil infection,
facial nerve palsy,mumps Parkinsonism etc..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a through clinical evaluation, evaluation of
vital signs, detailed medical history and necessary investigations can help in confirming the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can gargle with a mouthwash as it has a drying effect in mouth as well as brush your teeth 2 to 3 times for drying the mouth..
Avoid intake of sour foods as they stimulate saliva flow..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
