Suggest Remedy For Enlarged Prostate And Thickening Of Urinary Bladder Wall

My husband pawan khanna 's prostate is enlarged. vol is 25.4cc, weight- 26.2g . dr. said it's prostatemegaly grade1. urinarybladder wall is slightly thickened by 5.2mm. Two days earlier he is having this problem. wanted to know abt it and any precautions.

Hello

Your husband's findings suggests mildly enlarged prostate with thickening of urinary bladder.
Thickened urinary bladder may be due to enlarged prostate.
He may need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Investigation include routine hemogram,random blood sugar,urine RE/ME.
He may need PSA(prostate specific antigen)after evaluation.

Enlarged prostate is managed by both conservative and by surgery.
Since he has mild enlargement he may only need medicines and follow up.
He may need medicines like 5-alpha reductase inhibitors(finasteride) or alpha blockers.
It need evaluation by a urologist.
