General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
i appreciate you concern

Her elevated AST and ALT could be related to chronic alcoholism induced liver injury
which can be reverted back with complete abstinence from alcohol

in my opinion you should advise her to consult a gastroenterologist for examination and an ultrasound of liver and abdomen

meanwhile ask her to avoid alcohol and smoking
high glucose diet or fluids if she is not diabetic

Hope this addresses your query
please don't hesitate to ask for further information
Good luck
